Camerata Chicago, the Windy City’s leading chamber orchestra, has released new recording of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as an Educational Double Disc CD on the DMD Classics label.

Drostan Hall

This unique recording of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons includes the performance of a brilliant 17-year-old violinist, Amelia Piscitelli, with the Camerata Chicago conducted by Drostan Hall.

This Double CD set features the poetry originally written by Vivaldi himself. On Disc 1, Narrator Steve Robinson, of WFMT Radio, guides you through each of the Four Seasons musical pieces, including explanations, musical examples and Vivaldi’s poetry.

Disc 2 contains the complete recordings of the four violin concerti, The Four Seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

In this podcast, the first in the Rio Grande Guardian’s Music with Mario series, I interview Camerata Chicago conducter Drostan Hall.

The Rio Grande Guardian thanks Crossover Media for helping to set up the interview.
