EDINBURG, RGV – Alejandro Fernández and Los Tigres del Norte will perform at the Bert Ogden Arena Oct. 4 on Fernández’s Rompiendo Fronteras (Breaking Barriers) tour.
Robert C. Vackar, president and CEO of Bert Ogden Auto Group, announced Fernández’s concert at a press conference Tuesday at the construction site of the Bert Ogden Arena.
Fernández, nicknamed El Potrillo, is a famous Mexican singer and has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Los Tigres del Norte, a norteño group based out of San Jose, Cali., is touring alongside Fernández.
According to the the Bert Ogden Arena’s website, the 219,000-square-foot facility will be the largest indoor venue of its kind in South Texas. The arena will feature 9,324 seats and a total of 35 premium seatings. The arena’s concession partners and restaurants include Luby’s, Fuddruckers, Il Forno and Taco Palenque.
Other upcoming events at the arena are Luis Miguel Aug. 31 and J Balvin Oct 6. There will be a presale for Fernández and Los Tigres del Norte’s event beginning tomorrow. Tickets and more information can be found on the arena’s website.
Other attendees at the press conference included Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina, Marc Solis, the CEO of Bert Ogden Arena, and Yajaira Flores, director of booking and marketing.
