McALLEN, RGV – A delegation of 40 growers and entrepreneurs from Zacatecas, Mexico, visited the Rio Grande Valley last week. They toured the Pharr International Bridge and participated in seminars at the Mexican Consulate’s Office in McAllen to learn about exporting their products to the United States. There was some concern that there are too many middlemen in the process to get goods to United States markets, thus leaving little profitability for growers.
