BROWNSVILLE, RGV – Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation recently invited professionals in the tourism industry from the interior of Mexico to visit their city.
VIPs from the cities of Monterrey, Torreón, Madero, Tampico and Ciudad Victoria were given a two-day tour of Brownsville. The aim was to get them interested in developing tour party visits in the future.
BCIC outreach coordinator Josue Mejia said the visit was an outstanding success.
“The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation and its Board of Directors are extremely satisfied with the outcome of our recent familiarization tour with the Mexican delegation. Our Board of Directors would like to thank all involved organizations that enhanced the experience and results that were derived from our initial efforts. The city of Brownsville will soon expect a new influx of Mexican tourists that will fill the void our economic vitality needed as a competitive border city. Our team was successful in establishing the strategic relationships with five key Mexican cities and we owe it all to the efforts approved and mandated by the BCIC Board of Directors.”
