DONNA, RGV – The day after the tragic shooting of law enforcement officers in Dallas, it seems appropriate to post the above photo gallery from Donna Mayor Irene Muñoz’s recent Day of Prayer event.

Due to inclement weather the Day of Prayer celebration had to be postponed a couple of weeks. Even on the night of the event rain fell heavily bringing proceedings to a sudden end.

But, all things considered, Mayor Muñoz was happy with the turnout. Preachers from many denominations spoke and prayed in unity with the audience.

“I am thankful to the Lord we got halfway thru the program. I know people were blessed and prayers heard,” Muñoz said.

“I am thankful to all the churches who participated in event and joined me in the vision. We want to see transformation not only in our city and the Rio Grande Valley but in the people also.  There are a lot of people that are hurting physically, emotionally, with addictions, etc. And we want to let them know that Jesus loves them and has the power to deliver, heal, and restore them.”
