MISSION, RGV – Anzalduas Bridge Board, in conjunction with the cities of McAllen, Mission, Hidalgo, and Granjeno, held its 1st Anniversary Southbound Commercial Empty Truck Picnic on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017.
A year ago, the bridge was able to allow southbound empty trucks to cross the international port of entry. The long-term goal is to have fully-loaded trucks going north and south across the bridge.
Free hot dogs and drinks were available and the music was provided by Spikes on the Road, a band comprising managers of maquilas in Reynosa.
