Thank you. Good afternoon. Thank you for the opportunity to say a few words.
On behalf of my colleagues on the board of Starr County Memorial Hospital, CEO Ms Thalia Muñoz and the entire staff, I am proud of the affiliation and collaborative relationship that we have established with DHR Health in order to improve the healthcare availability for our county and to contribute to our economic development.
I want to make two quick points. One is, we all know that projects like this state of the art medical development involve a great amount of work in the background. Any successful venture requires a great deal of sacrifice, time, and effort that many times is not truly appreciated or even noticed.
We do what we do not for personal gain but for the greater good. This spirit of personal sacrifice and devotion to public service is what will continue pushing us forward in Starr County.
My second point is this. Success and progress comes from working together. I will not even attempt to name all the individuals organizations, governmental entities, and business leaders who have contributed to this project. We are all committed to working together to provide the residents of Starr County new opportunities and new resources. We all believe in the greatness of Starr County and all of its people. So, this combination of effort and collaboration is what makes Starr County strong and Starr County proud.
Thank you for your time this afternoon and congratulations to DHR Health.
