EDINBURG, Texas – Raudel Garza, executive director of Edinburg Economic Development Corporation, recently participated in a webinar on near-shoring.
The webinar was hosted by the Greater McAllen Area Chapter of the Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos. Francisco J. Peña-Valdés, president of AEM’s McAllen chapter, moderated the discussion.
The other economic development specialists on the webinar were Keith Patridge, president of McAllen EDC, and Teclo Garcia, CEO of Mission EDC.
Garza and his colleagues spoke about the possible impact of near-shoring on the Upper Valley, the availability of industrial space for manufacturing and logistics, and the need for the Valley to have a trained workforce.
