EDINBURG, RGV – Delicious food and scintillating conversation will be served at Bob’s Steak & Chop House in Edinburg on Tuesday.
The Rio Grande Guardian is kicking off its twice-monthly Live @ Bob’s series on June 12 with special guest, Dr. Carlos Cardenas, chairman of the board of Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. He will be interviewed by RGG editor Steve Taylor. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12 noon.
Cardenas has just finished his stint as president of the Texas Medical Association, the largest state group of doctors in the nation. Topics likely to be covered in the conversation include his presidency of TMA, changes in federal and state policies that are impacting the delivery of healthcare, and how to improve access to healthcare along the Texas-Mexico border. The conversation is titled: “The Future of Healthcare in the RGV.”
In addition to Hors d’oeuvre, attendees will be served an appetizer of Tenderloin Crostini and Cesar Salad, and an entree of either Bob’s Burger or Ahí Tuna Tacos. The cost is $25 at the door.
