It was extremely wise of Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez is set up the Prosperity Task Force to address poverty in his county. It shows excellent strategic planning.
The task force can and should give valuable recommendations to the Rio Grande Valley as the region’s economy adjusts to the dangerous impact the pandemic has had on our communities.
The Valley has really shown tremendous economic success when it has worked as a team, when all elements are used to bring prosperity to the community.
I am from Laredo and worked with my Valley colleagues for over 40 years in strategically planning to improve our border communities. I enjoyed the dialogue from all the team members as we worked to foster a better future for all concerned.
I hope that you all continue to work together as every member of the task force brings ideas, visionary comments and urgent issues to the county judge and the county commissioners. And I trust that the task force’s recommendations will be implemented.
The work of your task force shows strategic and visionary planning for a better tomorrow.
Saludos a Todos.
