HARLINGEN, Texas – Dr. Jesús Roberto Rodríguez, president of Texas Southmost College, recently spoke at a Greater Chamber of Harlingen ‘Business Over Breakfast’ event.

Rodríguez made headlines when he announced talks were underway to bring TSC to Harlingen, with courses and programs potentially being offered in either the classrooms of Harlingen CISD campuses or at the mall.

But, Rodríguez discussed a whole lot more. In a power point presentation he showed how TSC was out performing the statewide average for community colleges in many categories. He also talked about being appointed to a statewide committee that is looking at future funding options for community colleges.

This podcast has highlights from the speech.
