MCALLEN, Texas – The Greater McAllen Area Chapter of the Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos (AEM) is to host a webinar about nearshoring next month.
The title is “The Effects of Nearshoring and How We Are Partnering With Mexico.” The event, to be held on June 28, will be moderated by attorney Francisco J. Peña-Valdés.
Peña-Valdés is president of the AEM McAllen chapter. He is also a partner in the law firm of Cacheaux Cavazos & Newton, which, for over 25 years, has provided integrated legal services to international businesses.
The panel that Peña-Valdés will moderate will comprise four economic development leaders from the upper Rio Grande Valley: Teclo Garcia, CEO of Mission EDC, Raudel Garza, CEO of Edinburg EDC, Keith Patridge, president and CEO of McAllen EDC, and Victor Perez, president and CEO of Pharr EDC.
“This event will mark a milestone for our region regarding international trade. The times that we are living in today involve not only the countries of the USMCA region, but also many other countries that have chosen Mexico as a place to bring their investments,” Peña-Valdés said.
“Our region will be one of the most favored by this influx of investments that the nearshoring is bringing. Save the date!”
The upcoming webinar will be free to join. It will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on June 28. For more information call 956-369-9271 or email Peña-Valdés at fpena@ccn-law.com.
Peña-Valdés recently spoke at an Industrial Warehouse Summit hosted by Pharr Bridge Board. He was joined on stage by another partner at CCN, Marissa Sandoval Rodriguez.
The event was held at the Pharr Development and Research Center. Here is a video of the CCN presentation:
